I just got my first blood work results since getting my celiac diagnosis and going gluten free in January. All the mystery inflammation and issues that have been showing up in my labs last year or two are gone. Big thanks to Theresa DeLorenzo who helped me figure out what might be going on even when some docs were skeptical and, most importantly, guided me through making the switch off gluten while making sure I still get the nutrients I need, including iron. She gave me so many tips and tracking my food for nutrient content (NOT caloric content) to make sure I get what I need, especially as a long distance runner who burns a lot of nutrients and needs to take a lot in. This has been something I never could have done on my own. If you really want to stay healthy, I cannot recommend a good, smart, extremely trained nutritionist like Theresa more highly. These folks should be a standard part of your medical team.
